Did the Jews crucify Jesus?

According to Christian theology the Romans killed Jesus, it was Jesus’s fate to be crucified and was his mission on this world, and according to the Pope and the Vatican the claim of deicide (that the Jews killed Jesus) is not a valid claim according to christian belief. According to the New Testament some Jews encouraged Pontius Pilate to seek the death penalty for Jesus. It was Jesus’s disciple Judias that informed on Jesus to the Roman authorities.

As far as what Jews believe that is something else. We oblviously don’t believe in Jesus’s mission in this world nor in the new testament’s version of the historical events surrounding the life and times of Jesus.
