My first son of three is going to have his Bar Mitzvah shortly. I need some advise on what to say to him and also to the friends and family who come to share this wonderful occasion.
I would suggest that you research something online that is meaningful to you, and try to convey that to him. Your excitement will enter his/their hearts. I would suggest that you look for ideas which talk about why being Jewish is important. This is an excellent theme on the day he becomes obligated to act as a Jew. Simpletoremember.com has many excellent articles about this. Follow this link to hear a meaningful, and very funny, class on this subject.
