Davening – what is it?

Question

Would you please explain the practice of davening? When does it happen and why? Thank you.

Answer

Davening means prayer.
The Jewish tradition is to pray three times daily; morning, afternoon, and
night. It is an opportunity to reconnect with G-d and our values. For me
prayer is an opportunity to “press pause” on my day and make sure I have been living
that day properly.
