Beginning on the 2nd night of Pesach (Passover), we count 49 days (& 7 weeks). The next day, the 50th day, so to speak, is the 6th day of the Hebrew month of Sivan, and is Shavuous. This is THE day, the only day in the history of the world, when G-d met with an entire Nation, the Jewish people, at Sinai, 3,317 years ago.
