Who Was Jesus?

We are not certain about the correct history of Jesus. The gospels were written by people who had never met or heard from Jesus. They wrote their accounts based on stories that they had heard. We cannot be certain that the facts are correct when the gospels themselves contain contradictions. We think that Jesus might have been a teacher whose students made him into something larger than he really was. Remember that Jesus would have lived at a time when the Jews were being crushed by Rome and yearned for a redeemer. He certainly was not a prophet or the son of Gcd.
