I’m preparing a presentation on “The Jewish Message To the World”. Could you suggest a place i might look that would facilitate me doing this?
You have asked an interesting question. It seems clarifying our message to the world is a basic component to our existence. How can we be successful if we don’t know what we are trying to do! After some thought and discussion I believe our message is this:There is a Creator of this world and that Creator expects that His creations live moral lives. This moral existence is achieved by the world fulfilling the seven Noahide laws. The Jewish people are responsible to teach this message through living a committed life to Torah and its Commandments.
For further study you may want to look at the 7 laws of Noah and understand why G-d chose them to be the laws by which the world lives. What seven laws would you choose? Why do you think these were chosen? This article should also provide much information.
Best wishes,
Rabbi Yerachmiel Garfield
