Question
How important is Mount Carmel in Jewish practice?
Answer
Mt. Carmel is important only for its historical relevance. It is not a holy place. Tradition has it that there is a cave there in which Elijah hid from Jezebel. Some people like to go there to pray as they feel more inspired.
