Overcoming Anger and Impatience

Question

What would do you recommend as a best approach for overcoming one’s proneness to anger or impatience?

Answer

Recognize that the source of anger and impatience is the ego: “I’m not getting what I want.” Start putting other people’s needs first and stop being so selfish. Reward yourself every time you avoid getting angry. Every night before you go to bed, keep a journal of today’s challenging moments, putting a start next to the tests that you passed and an X next to the ones you failed. Finally, every morning say a short prayer asking the Almighty to help you.

Good luck,
