Are rabbis allowed to run or own a business. If yes what kind of business.
Answer
Thank you for you’re question. A rabbi does not have any additional restrictions as far as owning or running a business. In fact there were many famous rabbis who supported themselves from various businesses. While many rabbis hold a full time position with their shul there are many who are involved part time with other areas in either teaching or business.
