Do Jewish people, Christians and Muslims worship the same G-d?
We think so. Jews and Moslems do for sure. Christianity may be more complicated because it includes the worship of a person (Jesus) and some of its forms include worshiping the Trinity.
The key to understanding G-d from the Jewish perspective is the absolutely undivisible infinite creator of the universe. By definition, there is only one G-d that fits that description, therefore it is impossible to worship a different one. However, it is possible to worship “false gods” – that is, things that are part of the creation, such as the sun, the moon and stars, trees, statues, and people.
It is very hard to relate to G-d as G-d because we do not perceive G-d with our ordinary senses – this problem may explain and (according to some) justify the Christian need for a concrete image (Jesus) to worship as G-d.
