Freewill

The defining purpose in the creation of man was God’s desire to do good to others. For God to have done so without those receving it doing something to deserve the good, would have left the good lacking. This is because those receiving from others always appreciate what they are receiving much more if they feel that they have earned it. God therefore created free will in order that when we exercise our free will to serve Him properly, we will then deserve the good He wants to give us.
