What is Kabbalah?
In general, “Kabbalah” means “tradition”. More specifically, it refers to Jewish mysticism and esoteric teachings.
Kabbalah was first delved into as a formal study much after the writing of the Torah. It became more popular in the 1300-1500 and in the past 20 years has become a pop craze amongst the movie stars (unfortunately debasing it to becoming equal to scientology).
It is a legitimate part of Judaism and is reverently recognized by the orthodox community. It is an advanced exploration into the hidden secrets of the Torah.
