What are some things we can learn from the Passover Haggadah?
The structure of the Haggadah teaches us a very important lesson about the best way to learn and remember things. We begin with questions, and then give answers; but not only verbally — we act them out by eating all kinds of things (i.e. we are involved in experiential learning). This tells us that to learn something well, you need to ask questions – you need to be curious. Also, you should involve yourself in the learning, not just sit and listen. When people learn this way, they often say that learning is “fun;” and that’s why the Passover seder is fun for children.
Have a happy Passover!
