Star of David

Question

What does the Star of David mean? Do the points of the Star represent something? How does it apply to the Jewish Faith?

Answer

The six sided star represents the presence of G-d in all sides of the world, and above and below. Obviously, this idea is central to the Jewish faith. (The truth is that this is something that all humankind, even non Jews, must believe in.) I’m not really sure what symbol in the middle of it you are refering to.

Question

What is the significants of the star to the 3 stones used to defeat golliat.again, why has the star had 6 pionted “Triangle” facing all direation and the middle of the star also show a 6 figure (Hexagone). I want to know the spiritual imlication of the the word and figure 6 as in the Star.

Answer

I can’t help you with Dovid and Galias (Goliath). I can’t think of any relationship with the Mogan Dovid (Star of David), and there were five stones, and not three. 1Shmuel (Samuel) 17:40

As to the significance of the Mogen Dovid itself, there are many things I could speculate. You might note that the star is reaching out in all directions and anchored by a central point, I would surmise to be the Torah. Each of the six lines of the star is attached to another, and stands upon a foundation. The whole star system is very powerfully supported in its design.

You might contrast this with a swastika, which also has six lines, and without support or anchor. The Mogen Dovid is the strongest and most supportive thing you can do with six lines. The swastika is the weakest.
