Question
What is the Talmud?
Answer
The Talmud is the Oral Law, a commentary on the Written Law. Jews believe that G’d gave both to Moses in the Wilderness. The Talmud consists of the Mishna and the Gemara and it records the arguments of the great scholars as they interpreted the words of the Bible.
