Life Is But a Stage

Question: Why do I feel God does not care about me? How could someone so infinitely great have concern for me?

Answer: God’s purpose for creating you, me and everyone else on this planet was to bestow upon us eternal pleasure. God is the absolute perfection of good and He wants us to be able to bask in that awesome pleasure. But God in His infinite wisdom understood that in order for us to really enjoy that pleasure we would have to earn it on our own, because only then would we be able to have an in depth appreciation and relationship with that pleasure. Sort of like the difference between the simple peasant and the wine connoisseur. The peasant won’t appreciate the aromas and rich flavors that the wine aficionado will perceive and digest.

So God placed us on this world and gave us the awesome opportunity to earn for ourselves an eternal bond with our creator which then translates into a fun and pleasurable eternity. In order for this plan to work God constructed for us our very own stage and enabled us to be the star of this all important play. We get tailor made scenery that can provide for us the springboard for a “successful career.??

Some “actors/actresses?? are faced with the difficult “scenery?? of financial hardships, some physical, some have broken homes, others no parents at all. Some scenes seem glamorous and glitzy only to end in ruin and despair. Some scenes open rainy and miserable only to end in warm sunshine and exhilaration. The good actors know that they were chosen for the task because of their talents and capabilities. They understand that they have to work hard and have faith because the scene is sure to change. The successful ones understand that the Scriptwriter is there just for the calling and will step in to help and provide confidence. He will answer any sincere pleas with a reworking or tweaking of the script.

God, the scriptwriter of the Universe, patiently yearns to hear from us and stands ready to help us in a flash. He created us because all He wants to do is to shower us with good, pamper us and comfort us. He genuinely cares about all of us because we are His only children. We are the only child of a doting, merciful and awesomely benevolent Father. All we have to do is call out to Him and He will answer us. And that my friend, is the best part of the play.
