Intermarriage

Interfaith Couples

I had a very secular upbringing and actually converted to Christianity many years ago. I now have a family and am married to a Christian man. I recently began looking into my Jewish roots and am fascinated and drawn to my ancestry, but my family is not as motivated as me. I’ve taken on some Jewish practices, but I don’t want to go too far too fast. Any advice?

Thank you for your question. As you may have suspected, it is indeed very important for you to get specific guidance that not every rabbi can offer no matter how nice he is. Fortunately for you, there is a special organization dedicated to assisting couples just like yours and they can help you in many ways. Their website is EternalJewishFamily.org and you should contact them as soon as possible. Read about them there and you’ll see what they can do for you.

Wishing you all the best!
