Book of Matthew and the New Testament

Question: What is the Jewish view on the New Testament book of Matthew? I have yet to hear a Jew refute it, but I have heard Jews say they’ve never read it

Answer: None of the books of the New Testament are considered authoritative in any way, including the book of Matthew. There are plenty of refutations of many of its passages, as can be found in the audio lessons of Rabbi Michael Skobac, Rabbi Tovia Singer or Mrs. Penina Taylor.

A simple way to look at it is that most Jewish scholars regard the New Testament in the same fashion that Evangelical Christians regard the Book of Mormon – interesting, perhaps, but not the Word of God.
