Question: I was reading the story of Bilaam and I understand that he was a non-Jewish prophet (even though an evil one.) I also have heard of Job as a prophet. Were there any other Non Jewish prophets?
Answer: It doesn’t seem so from the Torah. Though Adam, Noah and Shem were prophets before the existence of Jews. The Talmud (Bava Basra 15) states that according to one opinion Job lived in the time of Moses, and it records a dispute as to whether he was Jewish, and whether it was merely a metaphor with a fictional character.
